7 School Records Fall During Opening Weekend

This past weekend was a great opening weekend for our swimmers who participated in the 2016 Pumpkin Plunge which was held in Richmond, VA. They were swimming tired but were still able to post some great times. In all they posted 7 SCHOOL RECORDS, 7 Event Wins, 23 Top 8 Swims, 1 Winter National Cut, and 5 Winter Junior National Cuts. 

The School Records that fell are:

  • 1000 Free - Tamas Novoszath (9:18.10) - Novoszath also broke the 500 free record during the first 500 of this swim with a 4:33.95.
  • 200 Breaststroke - Tarek Aboelthana (2:06.39)
  • 500 Free - Tamas Novoszath (4:27.19)
  • 100 Breaststroke - Tarek Aboelthana (57.28)
  • 200 Butterfly - Samer Khalil (1:55.93)
  • 400 IM - Tamas Novoszath (4:01.64)

The team will be back in action in three weeks at the H2OKIE Invite which will be in Christiansburg, VA.
