Fork Union Swimming's Tamas Novoszath competed this past week at the AT&T Winter National meet held at the McCauley Aquatic Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  This meet is USA Swimming's premier short course national championship meet and attracts some of the fastest swimmers in the United States.  Novoszath, a distance freestyler from Hungary, swam in the 500 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle, and 1650 Freestyle over the four day competition.

Novoszath rose to the occasion, dropping four seconds off his personal best and posting the 11th fastest time (4:23.32) at the meet in the 500 Free, dropping two seconds and posting the 9th fastest time (1:37.47) at the meet in the 200 Free, and posting the 20th fastest time (15:30.32) at the meet in the 1650 Free. All of these swims were fast enough to earn him spots in the evening finals and were new school records.

This has been a very successful season for Novoszath, as he now owns six out of the nine school records that have been broken this year.  Fork Union Swimming will be back in action for the Fork Union Christmas Invitational on 10 December and then will travel to the University of Pittsburgh on 15-18 December for the PITT Christmas Invitational.
